Long Eaton Community Garden using Hebden Grids

Home > Case Studies > Long Eaton Community Garden using Hebden Grids

Long Eaton Community Garden is the brainchild of a small group of local people who have been working together for the last 2 years to plan, design and create a Community Garden for everyone in Long Eaton to benefit from.

Erewash Borough Council agreed to give the constituted community group a large piece of land within the Norfolk Road Allotment site and, as part of the development, the group obtained some funding from the Postcode Lottery Trust.

This has allowed them to purchase some of our Hebden grids and 10 tons of pea gravel to create self-draining pathways that could be used with wheelchairs.

They hope, over time, to install a meeting space, outdoor cooking area, a forest school for young children and many other features in collaboration with local people. so if you live nearby, please feel free to get involved.
