Like many other community gardens right across Britain, Easton Community Garden is run entirely by volunteers.

It’s open every Thursday for anyone who’d like to grow vegetables, fruit or herbs, whether they know nothing at all about gardening or are a complete expert.

They are a sociable group too, regularly dropping for tea and sharing a vegetarian lunch at their brand new, all-weather recycled plastic Todmorden picnic table.

At the end of the day, they share out whatever harvest is ready to take home.
